03:58 pm - Marshmallow Dragon Sculpture I'm excited to present my next dragon sculpture :) It's based on "Marshmallow Dragon" an ACEO I did a while back inspired by the lovely Fudgeykat. I found this kit to make a suncatcher that can glow in the dark! I thought this would be perfect to use to make the flame for toasting the marshmallows. And how cool that the white-ish part of the flame glows in the dark! Though I couldn't figure out a good way to photograph that feature. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. "Marshmallow Dragon" about 2" high by 3.75" wide (holding the marshmallow toasting stick) Sculpey over wire and alluminum armature, acryllic paint, acrylic sealer, wire floral tape, baked crystal and glowing baked crystals (for the fire), apoxy glue.

the marshmallow toasting stick is removable

Oh my goodness! He is fabulous! I have been following your work on the HAED board and am thrilled to see the 3d version here! This little guy is one of my favorites :) Congratualtions on such amazing work!
Thank you! :) He's a favorite of mine too (probably because I love toasting marshmallows over a camp fire). There's definitely more plans for sculpting, I'm having way too much fun with it :)
Lisa!!!!! he is just too cute.. i can not believe how like the painting he is.. you really are an amazingly talented person.. i can hear the girls at haed squee ing from here about how much they love him.. thankyou for turning my draggie idea into frist a painting and then a 3D darling and he IS a darling
we toasted marshmallows at easter when we went camping with the family.. and when we had enough..yes we did eat until we were sick.. we shared with the USA and canadian campers who were also at the camp ground they were thrilled , esp when we also gave them our carefully selected taosting sticks which could toast three mallows at once
Thanks Fudgey! I'm so glad you like him :) He will be listed on eBay sometime in the next week or so (just want to keep him around for a bit more), but I'll post another entry here when he's listed, and send out a newsletter of course.
How fun you went camping and toasted marshmallows!! Eating them till your sick really is the only way to go :) Hope you had a little chocolate with it too and maybe a gram cracker or two for smores?
nope no smore's... would you believe i have never had smore's we don't get graham crakers here and i can't work out a reasonable substitute
we did do bananas split with choc squares and marshmallows and wrapped in foil and cookd inthe coals.. they were yummy |
